I received free product in exchange for this post.

Hello again and welcome to my last (hopefully) pregnancy update! I only have three weeks left until my due date, and I am 100% ready for our little man to be born. And by 100% I mean physically I am super ready, but like 75% mentally and emotionally ready! It is crazy that it’s so close, but the kids (especially Little J) are excited for him. He keeps telling me that he is ready to meet baby brother and how he wants to hold him. And he kisses my belly all the time, which I love.

Last week I started going to the doctor every week, and yesterday I was measuring on schedule. I’ve been two weeks early almost every appointment since 17 weeks, so now I’m normal I guess! My first two babies were 7lb 10oz and 7lb 11oz, so I’m assuming it won’t be too different with this little guy. But we’ll see!

And last week my husband had his second week off of intern year so we decided to take a trip to The Great Wolf Lodge. It was fun to do one big last thing as a family of four, even if I was 36 weeks pregnant! Luckily I had a maternity swimsuit from when I was pregnant with Little A, and I wasn’t even the only pregnant lady there! I probably was the only one who was 36 weeks though haha!

I’m currently not planning on doing anymore pregnancy updates, so you better really enjoy this one! I can’t believe that we are less than three weeks from the due date. CRAZY. I don’t know if it’s just because this is my third pregnancy and I’ve had so many other things going on, but it has gone by so fast. How are we basically almost done? AH!

How Far Along: 37 weeks as of Sunday. So close! Like, less than 20 days to my due date close!

Size of Baby: A durian, or Swiss chard. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen both in the grocery store, but I’ve never bought either. And probably never will. Chard is gross.

Gender: I probably should’ve taken this off of here after the first two times I said he was a boy, but I guess if anyone knew has joined us it’s still helpful for them to know! Yes, we are having another boy!

Movement: Sometimes I’m like “I should really be doing kick counts” but then he moves so much every day that I’m not even worried about it. Usually when I’m laying down to fall asleep he is moving a ton and it’s getting painful now, so that’s a bummer. He sure loves those ribs.

Sleep: When I am asleep, I sleep well, but I get up at least 6 times a night to pee. I tried not drinking after 4pm but it didn’t make any difference, so yeah. I think I’m getting up at least every 2 hours. So it’s kind of prepping me for when I have to feed a newborn every 2 hours!

And speaking of sleep, I got my second Bump Box over the weekend and it was full of great things to help baby sleep once he comes! I’ve always wanted to try a SwaddleMe, and the lotion and room spray smell so good! My kids already stole the Sandra Boynton book away! Stinkers! If you’re looking for a great gift for yourself or a pregnant mama friend, check out Bump Boxes!

Workouts: I wish I could say yes, but it’s been so sporadic. When I do work out, I’ve been doing prenatal workouts from Body Fit By Amy. She has a great weightless workout and then some stretches and strength training.

Maternity Clothes: Yes, and I’m super excited to be able to wear my normal shirts again. I will definitely miss maternity pants, but lucky for me my sweatpants and leggings are still acceptable to wear after he’s here. And I’ve actually gotten some really cute tees and skirts since getting pregnant that I haven’t been able to wear yet.

Symptoms: I MOVE SO SLOW. Like, a snail’s pace. Or like an 80-year-old woman in house slippers. It’s pathetic. I pee all the time and I’m having tons of Braxton Hicks. Some of them have hurt, but nothing concerning. Really bad heartburn every night no matter what I eat. Basically feeling very uncomfortable. I went into this pregnancy thinking I was going to try not to complain as much as the first two, but for reals, pregnancy is no joke. It’s hard and it sucks sometimes.

Cravings/Aversions: Anything with hot fudge. Basically anything sweet. Especially ice cream. No aversions still (and honestly, I don’t think I’ll have any!).

Missing Most: Being able to bend over or sit on the floor with the kids while they play.

Nursery: FINISHED! With the exception of moving the kids toys out and the recliner in, and then two pictures on the shelves that I can only do after he’s born (initial and photo). It’s perfect 🙂

Like I said, this might (aka will probably be) my last update. I have a few more posts coming before I take two weeks off for baby’s birth, so you don’t have to say bye just yet. And when I come back I’ll be sharing his birth story and the nursery reveal, so definitely make sure you watch out for those! Yay babies! Also, because I love seeing the growth throughout pregnancy, here’s a little collage of some of my bump shots! They range from week 9 to week 37.

Hey there mamas! I have LESS THAN TWO MONTHS to go until my due date! That’s so wild to me. I just started going to my appointments every two weeks, and after my next appointment I’ll go every week. How are we already this close to meeting little man? Seriously, how!?

How Far Along: 32 weeks as of Sunday. I’m officially 7 months pregnant!

Size of Baby: A squash! I actually had an ultrasound two weeks ago and he was measuring about 32 weeks then, and at my appointment yesterday he was still measuring about 2 weeks ahead, so he’s probably bigger than a squash now haha. My first two babies weren’t big, so we’ll see what happens with this little guy! Maybe we’ll get a chunker!

Gender: Still a boy haha. It’s been confirmed on the ultrasound 4 times now. We thought we had a name picked out, but now I’m not so sure! Middle name is 100% picked out, but first names are hard and I want it to sound good when you say all my kids’ names together!

Movement: This kid is a mover. He’s head down now so most of what I feel are his little legs and knees poking me. You can constantly see my stomach moving from the outside.

Sleep: It definitely depends on the night. When I can avoid drinking anything after 6 I sleep better, but sometimes I just get so thirsty I can’t help it!

Workouts: Struggling. I need to start doing some things to strengthen my muscles for delivery, though.

Maternity Clothes: Very much so. Some of them are actually getting a wee bit tight and not completely covering my belly now. And I only have one pair of maternity pants that I really love to wear, so I might start rotating some dresses into my wardrobe, because you know, it’s not even cold here.

Symptoms: Peeing all the time, painful hips, my varicose veins are way worse and hurt my leg by the end of the day now. I haven’t had a headache in a while though, which has been GREAT. And still having lots of annoying Braxton Hicks. I’ve been having them ever since I was like 23 or 24 weeks though, so I’m getting more used to them. If that’s possible.

Cravings/Aversions: Still want to eat like all the time, but trying not to. Anything related to pizza or ice cream I am always 100% game for.

Missing Most: Being able to move and walk around normally and without being in pain. I can’t sit on the floor or I’m super sore.

Nursery: I haven’t really done much since my last update, but we really need to get to it since he’s going to be here in less than 2 months! We did get his newborn-3 month clothes out of storage (or should I say Little J’s old clothes), so that was a step in the right direction!

I guess that’s it for today! I’ll probably only do one or two more updates, depending on if I make it to 40 weeks and if I really even want to talk about it by that point! I guess we’ll just see!

Hey there from the third trimester! I can’t believe I am already a little more than 2/3 of the way done with this pregnancy. I am not looking forward to having to go to the doctor every other week soon, but oh well. Full-blown nesting has kicked in and not only am I working on the nursery, I’ve been doing other things around the house, too. Last week I redecorated the kids’/second bathroom and I love how it turned out. I still have my energy which is good, because I know it’s going to be zapped away pretty soon. But things are going well!

How Far Along: 28 weeks. I’m six months and feeling it. My hips and pelvic area usually are pretty sore by the end of the day, so that’s no fun. At least I only have 12 weeks left!

Size of Baby: A cabbage! When I was at my OB appointment last week I had an ultrasound and he was measuring about a week ahead. His weight was 2 lbs. 10 oz, so I’m sure he’s a tiny bit bigger now!

Gender: Boy. It was the first thing we saw again on the ultrasound last week haha. So absolutely no doubts there!

Movement: Oh my goodness, all the time. He moves so much. And I am always watching my stomach move around. Nothing painful yet since he’s still small, but I’m sure over the next few weeks it will get more uncomfortable.

Sleep: I sleep pretty heavy, despite nasal congestion and having to get up a few times a night to pee. I haven’t had any weird dreams recently and still haven’t gotten a single charlie horse in the middle of the night (HOORAY!). I also usually sleep almost 10 hours a night when I go to bed at the same time as my husband. I have to get it in while I can!

Workouts: Ugh. I’m trying. I was doing really good for a while but then I realized that when I did workout, especially any type of cardio or lower-body stuff, my hips and pelvis really, really suffered. So I’m trying to stick to mostly upper-body and core stuff. That’s basically all I can manage right now.

Maternity Clothes: I am officially only wearing maternity clothes now, since I don’t fit into any of my regular clothes. It is starting to cool off (like high 60s, 70s most days), so I’ve been wearing some long sleeved shirts and some sweaters. And always jeans. I have one pair of maternity skinny jeans from Old Navy that I absolutely love.

Symptoms: Still getting headaches when I get dehydrated, so one of my main goals is to drink a lot of water. My varicose veins are pretty gnarly on my left leg and have spread all the way to my ankle and foot. Braxton Hicks contractions are also the worst, and I have several of those a day. They don’t hurt but they are super annoying. And of course my wonderful hormones are still making me break out like a teenager going through puberty. One awesome result of those hormones is that my hair is finally in that stage where you don’t lose like any hair at all in the shower, and it looks really healthy. So yay for that!

Cravings/Aversions: Nothing really right now.

Missing Most: Being able to stand up and squat and sit on the carpet without grunting and being in pain. I seriously have to be in a chair or on a pillow or on the sofa to sit. And I actually fell over the other day putting my pants on because my belly was in the way. So I am excited to feel normal again.

Nursery: Looking so good!!! Changing pad cover, crib sheet, and quilt are all sewn. I made a felt ball mobile and a felt word picture (I’ll show pictures later) that are hanging up. And last week I bought curtains for the window. I think I want a rug and maybe some shelves and a small gallery wall, but I’m not sure where on that one. But we still have three months to go so I’m doing good.

Can’t Wait For: The nursery to be done and ready to go. Right now all the kids’ toys are still in there and the recliner is in the living room still, but we aren’t going to move those things until early January. But now that the nursery is really coming together I just can hardly wait!

I guess that’s about it for today. I did take my glucose test last week and I PASSED, so that’s super awesome. Oh and yesterday I had to stop at Walmart real quick (which usually I shop at H-E-B so it was my fault this happened really), and the checkout lady told me I was “big” and she was amazed that I still have three months left. RUDE. You NEVER tell a pregnant woman she is big, even if she’s a week away from her due date. Common decency, people. Anyway, other than that, I think my little questionnaire thing covers it! More updates next month!

Hey friends! I feel like I am so big and far along, and yet I am also shocked that I’m already 24 weeks. On Saturday we got back from a week-long vacation visiting family in Idaho and Utah. My husband only gets three weeks of vacation a year, and this was the first one he had so we decided to visit family we haven’t seen in almost six months! Despite being pregnant and driving in the car over 1,000 miles and flying on four different airplanes, it was for sure worth it and I am so glad we went. I had to wear my super attractive compression tights (which are mega uncomfortable and hot, by the way) to help my dumb varicose veins, but it was fine. And it was probably our last trip until our baby is born so we really had to enjoy it!

How Far Along: 24 weeks. Time is just flying by. I know that’s so cliche to say, but it’s true. I had a doctor’s appointment yesterday and he has a strong little heartbeat!

Size of Baby: An ear of corn. Yum. He’s getting so long!

Gender: Still a boy? Haha I’m not sure if I should keep including this each week, but I guess I will for new readers! Yes, we are still having a boy! We think we have a name picked out (middle name is 100% picked out) but I like to have a back-up name or two just in case he doesn’t look like we think!

Movement: Yes! He moves a ton. I feel him a lot in the morning and at night, and of course throughout the day, too. Baby boy is a mover! Last week while we were in the car driving down to visit my sister I’m pretty sure he completely flipped around. It was cool but I also had to pee super bad so that was no good. But after that, I felt him a lot more on the other side. Seriously, I think I feel him stronger and more than I did my first two babies!

Sleep: For the most part, yes. As long as I don’t drink a lot of water in the evenings I can usually go without peeing more than once a night. I feel lame though because rolling over requires me waking up and readjusting in what would be a five-point-turn for a car. Congestion is not super fun, either. For a while it was keeping up my husband but I’ve been using Breathe Right strips when it gets bad and that helps a lot.

Workouts: I really fell off the wagon (haha) when we were on vacation and then overdid it cleaning and running errands when we got back, so my body just hurts. But I really do need to start doing my videos again because I could tell they helped. And I’m hoping to start jogging more now that it’s not so stinkin’ hot out. Or at least walking if I don’t feel up to jogging.

Maternity Clothes: I am finally to the point where I can’t wear regular shirts unless they are t-shirts anymore. I put one on while we were on our trip and it didn’t quite cover my belly. So that was fun. But I also have been LOVING this super cute “I’m So Pregnant” tee from Hello Apparel. It’s super soft and I think it’s so funny and clever. I wore it on our trip and my sister loved it. Plus it goes with everything since it’s black. And there’s definitely room for my bump to grow in it, too!

Symptoms: Headaches are a big bummer. I get around one bad one every two weeks, and I got my last one on Sunday night, which meant I barely slept. The only thing that seems to help is caffeine, so I enjoy my Diet Dr Pepper when I need to. I really try hard to drink a lot of water throughout the day, too, because that usually prevents them. Other than that, breakouts like I’m going through puberty, my ugly veins, and achy pelvic bone, I’m feeling great still!

Cravings/Aversions: Well last week I tried Egg McMuffins for the first time (sad, I know) so I’ve really been wanting those. And Chinese food. Mmmm. I had it both times we were at the airport in Denver last week, and then I also made it at home the week before that. It’s so good, I just can’t help it! And luckily, I’m still not having any aversions.

Missing Most: Sleeping on my stomach. I’m starting to get big enough that I just can’t get comfy for long on my side, and since I’m regularly a stomach sleeper, I am really looking forward to getting to do that again once he’s born.

Nursery: It’s coming along! I actually sewed the crib sheet and changing pad two weeks ago, and then I also cut out all the squares for his quilt. I just have to sew that, but I have lots of other things on the schedule right now so that will have to wait.

Can’t Wait For: At my next OB appointment I have my glucose test, so I’m really hoping I pass that and can get it over with. It’s not so much that I think the drink is gross because I actually think it’s fine, but I just want to make sure I’m healthy and not in the gestational diabetes zone. I failed the first test with Little A and had to take the long one (which I passed), so I’m hoping to not have to do that.

Well that’s all for me! I’m working on my preggo Halloween costume and I’m happy with how it’s coming together. I really need to get on it, too, since our church Halloween party is next Tuesday! Ah!

In case you missed it, on Monday I announced that we are having a baby boy! Little A and I are going to be outnumbered! I am super excited and even though I would’ve been happy either way, my little heart was just filled with such joy and excitement when we saw that baby #3 is a boy. Yay! I recently went through old photos and kept looking at Little J’s old baby clothes and thinking how cute they were, so I’m excited to get those out and in baby’s little closet!

And also, I’m sorry some of these pictures aren’t the clearest. They are my “I got home at midnight after being on a plane by myself with two kids while pregnant” pictures. Real life, guys.

How far Along: 20 weeks. I’m halfway there!!! This pregnancy has seriously gone by so fast. I feel like my baby bump is way too big, but then I remember that I’m 20 weeks and halfway there haha.

Size of Baby: A small cantaloupe! Which is sort of weird because we got a cantaloupe and ate it all last week. If only I had realized it sooner!

Gender: BOY! Woo! We ordered a dozen Krispy Kreme gender reveal donuts to tell the kids, and it was a lot of fun watching Little J’s face light up when he finally saw the blue filling inside! Also, boy names are way easier, and we know 100% the middle name already. And probably the first name, too. But I don’t like to officially decide until baby is born, so we’ll probably come up with some back-up names just in case. Also, that’s why I am holding a car in some of my pictures 🙂

Movement: Yes! It started at the end of 17 weeks and I’ve been feeling a little more every week. It’s always on the lower part of my belly, which makes sense because of how he was positioned in my ultrasound last week. But Little J got to feel him move while we were watching a movie last week and it was really fun. It’s cool because this time around he actually gets that we are having another baby. When I was pregnant with Little A he didn’t really get it since he was so small.

Sleep: Finally! I’m only getting up to pee like once a night now instead of 6 times so I’m finally getting to sleep better. And with the help of my pillow between my knees and my pillow in front of my belly, I am pretty comfy the whole night! At least as long as I don’t overdo it and stay on my feet too long during the day. If I am up too much cleaning the house or doing things like that then my body hates me at the end of the day.

Workouts: I’m doing really well working out actually! I get a few videos in most days M-F so that has been helping me feel good. And I’m not a huge fan f pregnancy workouts, so I’ve just been doing my favorite Blogilates videos with a few modifications.

Maternity Clothes: Yesssss. Can we just wear pants with a stretchy waistband all the time? I mean maternity pants are basically yoga pants but with jean material, right? Anyway, I got some super comfy skinny jeans from Old Navy and they are actually long enough because you can buy longs there, which is a must for me. The kids and I visited my parents in Colorado last week and it was like 20 degrees cooler there so I was of course wearing pants. Even though it was like 70 still. Thanks, Texas living. Also, can we just talk for a second how adorable this “Preggers” shirt is? You’ll understand in a few months why I love the term so much, but this shirt is super comfy and so soft and not super thick so it’s perfect for pregnancy. You can check it out from ILY Couture here.

Symptoms: Mostly just my stupid veins and a growing belly. The second trimester is nice because you don’t really have to deal with too much stuff. I do have breakouts like constantly so that’s a bummer, but it’s manageable.

Cravings/Aversions: I feel like maybe nothing? If I had to pick something I was craving it would be either sweets, pumpkin (understandable), or grapes. No aversions currently. Bring on the food.

Missing Most: Weirdly enough I kind of miss running. I haven’t actually been a steady runner since like last summer, but I was looking forward to running when we moved here and never got back into it because I was so tired. I feel like I shouldn’t start now since I’m halfway into pregnancy, but oh well. Things are good right now so I’m not really missing anything else.

Nursery: Planning is underway! Now that I know we are having a boy, I am using my Hello Maypole felt balls to get the color scheme figured out. I need to find some fabric and I want to do a bunch of cute prints and actual decor. Little J’s nursery was okay, I was proud of Little A’s nursery even though it still was kind of plain, and this time I want to be able to make it something I really love.

Best Part of the Week: Well I am going to say best part of last week because it was for sure finding out baby’s gender and getting to see baby boy on the ultrasound. I love seeing their tiny little spines and their heart beating. And of course, telling the kids was fun, too. I used a special order of Krispy Kreme’s gender reveal donuts and we told the kids that evening. It was delicious and super cute.

Can’t Wait For: Gosh I am not even sure. I just want to enjoy this time with my two kiddos before things change. It’s gone by so fast already! I guess I’m excited to have everything all set up and for us to be ready to meet him. Which I know is far away, but oh well.

Well that’s all for me! I’m excited to be able to do a pregnant Halloween costume this year, and you can bet I’ll be sharing it with you on Instagram. Thanks for following along, mamas!

On Monday I announced that I am pregnant with baby #3, and today I wanted to share a little pregnancy update! I will probably do one a month since I also do currently posts, but I’ll focus these updates specifically on how things are going with baby and me!

Since I’m already in the second trimester, I’ll give you a brief update on how the first trimester went. If I had to describe it in four words, they would be nauseous, starving, unmotivated, and exhausted. I haven’t worked on my book in FOREVER and even though I never threw up, I constantly felt nauseous. Which was weird because I always felt like I was starving and if I didn’t eat then I would feel like I was going to pass out. Plus trying to manage two kids while feeling all of those feelings was rough. But I’m better now 🙂

Also, don’t you just love my maternity countdown tee? It’s from The Countdown Shop and I am just in love!! I’ll be posing with it for every update!

How far Along: 17 weeks. I know, how have I not announced it sooner? Well we waited to tell our families until after I was in the second trimester, and then we waited to tell our friends until a few weeks after, and then I was going to post about it last week but other things came up. So here I am today, announcing it to all of you lovely mamas! Anyway, my due date is February 5th. He or she will be born about a month before little J turns four and before Little A is 2 1/2.

Size of Baby: A turnip or a pear. Getting bigger!

Gender: We find out in two weeks. I’m not one of those people who can just be surprised. I know I already have a boy and I already have a girl so we have all the clothes and toys and everything we’ll need no matter what, but I am dying to get the nursery started.

Movement: Not yet, but I’m sure it’s coming soon. I thought maybe I was feeling a little bit last week but it felt maybe a little too high up.

Sleep: Yeah right. Weird dreams, still peeing a ton at night, uncomfortable in every position, and super, super congested. I seem to remember sleeping during the second trimester going a little bit better with my first two pregnancies, but maybe it will get better.

Workouts: I’m trying. I’ve been trying to get into more of a schedule now that we are back to doing some school with Little J and trying to be more formal about tot school with Little A. Now that I have my energy back, I’m trying to do a video or two every day. Some days it happens and some it doesn’t. So I’m working on making it more of a priority.

Maternity Clothes: You bet. Mostly the pants, but I have started wearing the shirts, too. I feel like last week I really popped and now I really do look pregnant instead of sort of chubby, but my pants haven’t fit for a while so I’ve been enjoying my three pairs of maternity shorts. And conveniently, most of my normal shirts had a lot of extra room because that was my post-Little-A’s-birth style. So I was able to successfully hide my bump until we decided to tell our friends.

Symptoms: Nothing too bad right now except I get lots of headaches even though I try and drink lots of water. Oh. And I do have these awful varicose veins, mostly in my left leg but some in my right. If you are lucky enough not to get these during pregnancy, consider yourself blessed. I had them towards the end of my pregnancy with Little A and they are already worse than they were at the end of that pregnancy. I’ve broken out my super nerdy compression stockings and while they aren’t the most comfortable things in the world, they do really help my legs not hurt by the end of the day. Also I have a nice clot behind my leg that I’m going to have the doctor take a look at during my next appointment. My husband (also a doctor) thinks they’re going to have to remove it and is trying to convince me to let him do it.

Cravings/Aversions: For a while I was craving bagels, grapes, breakfast tacos, cheese fries, and burgers, but now I’m not really craving anything. No aversions either, so that’s good.

Missing Most: Nothing really, except not having gross veiny legs.

Nursery: Is currently the playroom, but obviously that’s not going to last. The kids have moved into a bunk bed in the old playroom, and the old bedroom is currently a makeshift playroom. When we get closer to my due date we’ll move everything into their room, but for now, things are sort of all over.

Best Part of the Week: All of the wonderful congrats comments you guys have shared on SM and on my last blog post. Someone very close to me has been struggling with infertility for almost two years and so when we found out we were pregnant, I really struggled with feeling excited and not guilty about it. But she (and all of my friends and family and you guys) have all been super supportive and make me feel excited and like I can actually do this! Having three kids is something we weren’t planning on for a while, but I know we’ll figure it out, as every person does every time something unexpected comes along. But yeah, thanks for all the congratulations and support!

Can’t Wait For: Finding out baby’s gender! I really would be happy either way. It would be fun to have another boy and for Little J to have another boy to play with and be buddies with, but I think it would also be fun to have another girl because Little A is just fun and I love all the dresses and girly things. Little J wants a sister and Little A doesn’t really care, because she’s too little. It will be fun to find out and start thinking about names and planning the nursery and getting old baby clothes out!

So there you have it! An update on how my third pregnancy is going. I’ve got a lot of great pregnancy-related posts coming your way (my favorite!) so keep an eye out!!
