I would like to say ‘you know what? Yes, me, your son and the countless medical professionals have all got it wrong and you definitely know better than us when our baby is due.’ OR ‘would you like me to tell exactly when I ovulated and when we had sex?’ I obviously haven’t said either but it’s getting closer… silence apparently doesn’t make her take the hint!

While I was about 6 months pregnant with my daughter I was talking to a family member about how I felt like I didn’t really look pregnant or I was just starting to look pregnant and they said something like. ” you can tell your pregnant you’ve got thunder thighs.” It really bothered me especially since it was my first. she was also the only one who touched my belly without my permission and she did it everytime she saw me. I should have gotten a shirt like one of the pp got!

Granted he is two… But I was gobsmacked! I couldn’t think of an answer I just said something stupid like “well there is no going back now” and she just went “hmmmm” and changed the subject. We were never best friends but we got along, however since I can’t seem to let it go and our relationship is getting frosty.

When I told my friend I was having a girl she said “Grats” and “Good luck with that, girls are really hard to raise.” The problem? She doesn’t even have kids. Next, I was dragged into a 8 minute conversation arguing the validity of this fact.

I am not friends with her anymore. Seriously. what kind of person tries to make you feel like crap over the kind of gender you are having?
