I don't think I could ever do it. Last time my husband took two pictures during the delivery where you could sort of see what was happening and it totally scarred me. I do not want to see that again haha

Very realistic ideas! When I gave birth to Oliver, there was this reflective thing right above me, and I saw him being born in it. I always thought it would be so weird to use a mirror, but it was actually kind of a neat experience (though it was kind of foggy so I couldn't see *too* much. I won't ever be requesting a mirror! haha).

Thanks, Brittany! Yes, epidurals are fantastic! Way to go for people who can get through birth without them, but I 100% want one every time! And I love that you made one for yourself just for home! Another great idea!

I think this is a great, comprehensive list, Chelsea! Definitely useful for anyone who wants to have a birth plan to share with the L&D staff.

When I was pregnant, I did something like this at home, for myself, just to get my thoughts in order. But I opted not to take it to the hospital. I'm a planner, and I knew having a list would be stressful, especially if there were things on my birth plan that didn't end up happening. It was easier for me to be flexible without one. For example, I planned to get IV pain meds but no epidural, but after 15+ hours of back labor, I was practically begging for one. Pain meds just didn't cut it! I feel really good about that decision, but I think with a written plan nearby I would've felt more obligated to push through the pain, so as not to "fail". Now that I know the awesomeness of the epidural, I'll be getting one as soon as possible for any future deliveries. :)

This is a fantastic list! I seriously had no idea what to write on my birth plan, and this would have helped so much. I love that you included special requests if a C-section is needed and concerns and fears. It is important to think about those things ahead of time, even if it is a bit uncomfortable. I'm definitely using this list if we have another baby!
