Thanks, Christine! Me too! I think it's important to share because you never know who else might be suffering and not even realize it!

The copper one is the one I have right now! All the hormonal ones I tried gave me other symptoms that made me sick. It wasn't until getting the hormone-free one that it surfaced. Isn't it crazy how hormones can affect us?! Thanks, Katie!

I am so glad you shared this! PMDD is rarely talked about, and women are so often just told it’s part of the a woman. I’m so sorry you were suffering but I’m glad you were able to get help. My doctor suspected PMDD a while back (I had many of the same symptoms as you), and we started to go down the path of treatment for that. But then I got my IUD taken out (oddly enough, it was the copper, non hormonal one), and that helped immensely. I’m not sure if my body was reacting to the copper weird, or the intense period symptoms that I got from it just made things worse. But I had no idea what PMDD was until then. There’s no need to suffer in silence and I appreciate you sharing this all today. Too many mothers think they just have to suffer through. And life is not meant to be suffered through!
