Mental illness is a big deal and has been swept under rug for too long. Stories need to be told so we can understand and hopefully help more. It is difficult, I am lucky not to have experienced a suicide loss but was raised by a Mother suffering with mental illness. I think you’re on the right track being honest and open about it with your children. Sorry for your loss x
