I thought I was weird because I never “need a break”. My son is 2 and is my best friend. I couldn’t imagine my day or my life without him. The longest I’ve had to leave him is 6 hrs to help a friend move and it was the longest day of my life. His first year, I had offers to babysit and I never took them up, I just didn’t feel I needed it. Ive had days where im a bit frazzled or frustrated but im never sick of him. I have had time to shop and do things alone, I always end up missing him. Shopping with a toddler always takes longer, there’s the inevitable meltdown, asking for toys, etc etc, I don’t care. Someday my cart will be empty and I will miss my baby. Thank you for writing this! 🙂

Clothes shopping is definitely one that’s hard with kids! Strollers do not fit in dressing rooms, and I hate when my kids are trying to peek under the doors!

I love it! We don’t usually have too many offers for solo trips out, but my husband is around enough that if I really did want to take a solo trip I would just ask him. And I hate grocery shopping and clothes shopping whether I’m doing it solo or with my kids.

But, kids really are awesome. I LOVE being home with them and taking them to the store.

They don’t enjoy shopping unless it is for toys for them…maybe it’s an age thing they did enjoy it when they were little! People have offered to have the kids for the night while my other half is away…I always say ‘no thanks’ I would rather spend the evening/night with them than completely on my own!
