I believe that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me, and each of his children. He knows us all by name and he knows our strengths and weaknesses.
I believe that the Book of Mormon was written by prophets in the Americas, is another testament of the divinity of Jesus Christ, and that Joseph Smith translated it. I also believe that the Bible was written by prophets and contains commandments and teachings that can help us live righteously.
I believe that we have prophets and apostles on the earth today. They tell us what our Heavenly Father wants us to know, and they warn us and help us remember to keep the commandments. The prophet today is President Russell M. Nelson. I know he is a true prophet of God.
I believe that Joseph Smith was also a prophet of God. He was visited by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the spring of 1820, and through them, he restored the true church on the earth. It is the same church that was organized when Christ was on the earth.
I believe in eternal families. Through sacred Priesthood ordinances, we can receive blessings in the holy temples and we can be sealed to our spouses and our children for time and all eternity. I know that if we keep the commandments and live righteously, we will spend forever with our families.
I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, that He came down to earth and sacrificed his life for us. He atoned for the sins and pains and afflictions of every single person who has ever lived and ever will live on this earth. I believe that because of this, He knows exactly what we are going through at all times, and He knows exactly how to comfort us and lift us up. If we repent, we can be forgiven of all of our sins.
I believe that the Priesthood is the power and authority God gives to man to act act in all things for the salvation of man. Through this gift, we are blessed, make covenants, and are sealed to our families.
I believe in following the Word of Wisdom by abstaining from drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and coffee, and keeping myself healthy by eating right and taking care of my body. I believe my body is a gift from Heavenly Father and I want to show him that I am grateful for it.
I believe in the importance of families, in the sanctity of marriage, and in staying sexually pure before marriage.
I believe that our Heavenly Father loves each one of his children, no matter where they’re from, what they believe, what they look like, or who they love. We could never do anything that would ever make us undeserving of His love for us.
I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of God on the earth today.
