Jack actually climbed out of his crib at 18 months, a week before my daughter was born. So we sort of had to transition him! One tip is to lock the door so he can’t get out, and take all the toys out of his room during naptime! I love you but you’re not coming out until after your nap.” He usually screams louder at me for a second, then shuts up and sleeps.

How did this work for you when Jameson grew into a toddler bed? Jack is ready to transition, but I’m scared to loose his little nap jail.

Thanks, Cassidy! I’m almost to the point where my toddler is going to drop his, too. Some days we do “quiet time” instead, but I still give him a pillow and blanket just in case!

My toddler’s going to drop her morning nap soon so we’ll have to move it forward… to 12:30 pm (yikes. Quick lunch!) But it’s worth it because I need some Mommy time!
