What a fun idea! I love all the colors. It seems like the perfect dessert for the fourth! I’m so bad at doing that crumb coat thing. Haha.

In reply to Jennifer. Right? The dome part is no fun! I am so bad at cutting them flat, so baking them at a lower temp always solves that problem!

That is such a cute idea to use Twizzlers for stripes for the forth of July! Also, I’ve been making 2-layer cakes since I was little, but I’ve never heard the trick about baking your cakes at a lower temperature to prevent them from rising. That’s genius! My cakes usually end up with a bit of a dome on the top because I can’t stand to cut off the excess…
