In reply to Jennifer. Me too! And now that I'm older I'm like oh man, I really can't (and shouldn't) eat like that! And thanks! It was just ridiculous of them to ask that, so I was like NOPE! At least I was smart in that sense!

I wish I had understood the importance of eating healthy and working out too. I thought that because I was skinny, it didn’t matter. But I feel so much better when I mix some healthy foods into my diet and do some light exercise. Little things make a huge difference!
Also, I’m impressed (and was always impressed) that you walked away from modeling after they asked you to be unhealthy. I’m not sure if many teenage girls would have been strong enough to make that decision!

Ha ha ha. So many things I loved about this letter. The emo part, learning you are 5’10” (I’m 5’9″ though was more like 135lbs at a 16 year old and never modeled though people told me I should. Whatever). Loving your body is hard at 16 though, isn’t it?

Happy Birthday!! 26 is a great age. 🙂

I loved reading this post! I would definitely tell my 16 year old self #3 and #4. I did listen to my parents but not as much as I should have. I would also tell my 16 year old self, not to worry about what people think about me, just be happy with who I am.

I loved this whole thing- especially #7, #10 and #2. I wish I had ignored more of those dumb and gross boys. And that I had been nicer to my little siblings! They are my truest friends now! And that bit at the end about your 16 year old self wouldn’t have followed this advice back then anyway;) LOL!!! Sounds like you were about as wise as I was all those years ago;) And I love that hair you had 10 years ago!
